Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Print size for a city hotel

A city hotel prints as a compact block, and its smaller details shrink first. Print it larger, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers for crisp edges.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Hotel Astoria (Saint Petersburg) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Hotel Astoria (Saint Petersburg) takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Hotel Astoria (Saint Petersburg)

The Hotel Astoria is a luxury hotel in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It opened in 1912 and has 213 bedrooms, including 52 suites. It stands on Saint Isaac's Square, beside Saint Isaac's Cathedral and opposite the historic Imperial German Embassy. Rocco Forte Hotels owns and runs it together with the adjoining Angleterre Hotel, its sister property.

The hotel was designed by the Russian-Swedish architect Fyodor Lidval, in a style rooted in Art Nouveau with Neoclassical influences. It was built by the German construction company Wayss & Freytag between 1911 and 1912, and it opened on December 23, 1912. The Astoria was meant to host tourists coming to Russia for the Romanov tercentenary, marking 300 years of imperial rule, in May 1913.

In 1916 the Russian government nationalized the hotel. During World War II it served as a field hospital in the Siege of Leningrad. It reopened in 1991 after renovations, and Rocco Forte Hotels acquired it in December 1997, later spending $20 million on further work. A further renovation followed in 2012, the hotel's centennial year.
