50 m of the Hôtel de Ville de Paris, 15 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- One long, even front
Most of this model's detail lies in one long facade. Print it larger to keep the front readable, and use layers of 0.12–0.16 mm for crisp edges.
- One piece with the ground
The Hôtel de Ville de Paris is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Hôtel de Ville de Paris takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Hôtel de Ville de Paris
The Hôtel de Ville is the city hall of Paris, at Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville in the 4th arrondissement. Francis I had the south wing built from 1535 to 1551, and Henry IV and Louis XIII added the north wing between 1605 and 1628. The municipality has had its headquarters here since 1357, when Étienne Marcel, provost of the merchants, bought a house on the site in its name.
In May 1871, in the final days of the Paris Commune, the building was set on fire and destroyed along with almost all of the city archives from before 1860. The exterior was afterwards rebuilt larger, though it followed the original design, and the interior was substantially redesigned. A central facade copies the 16th-century French Renaissance front, and the side wings follow those of the 1830s and 1840s but are wider.
The main facade is 143 m (469 ft) long and 18.8 m (62 ft) high, with corner pavilions at 26.8 m (88 ft) and a bell tower at 50 m (160 ft). Some 230 sculptors produced 338 figures of famous Parisians for the facades, among them Auguste Rodin, who made the mathematician Jean le Rond d'Alembert. It houses the local government council and, since 1977, the Paris mayors and their cabinets, and it hosts large receptions.
