Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Four corner turrets

Four domed hexagonal turrets frame the raised central pavilion, with thin lantern openings below the caps. Print friendly adapts the small turret parts; Full detail is better for a large print or fine nozzle.

  2. Open porches and balconies

The north porte cochere and the Gulf-side veranda are carried on slender supports. Print slowly with good cooling, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers for the balcony rails.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Hotel Galvez is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Hotel Galvez takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Hotel Galvez

Hotel Galvez, also called the Grand Galvez Resort & Spa, began welcoming guests in 1911 and has 226 rooms in Galveston, Texas. Its name honors Bernardo de Gálvez, the first Viscount of Galveston and the figure behind the city's name. The National Register of Historic Places listed the hotel on April 4, 1979.

Stucco-covered brick forms the six-story building, whose style is Spanish Colonial Revival. The walls are plastered, the roof uses Ludowici tiles, and mission parapets edge the roofline. Two five-story wings reach toward the Gulf of Mexico with round arches and Spanish Revival windows, while the original main entrance, beneath a porte cochere, faced north away from the water.
