Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A slender supertall

A supertall tower is the hardest kind of model to print tall, because a slender shaft shows every wobble. Print it slowly with good cooling, and keep layer height at 0.12–0.16 mm so the vertical faces stay crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Iconic Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Iconic Tower takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Iconic Tower

This mixed-use supertall skyscraper stands in Egypt's New Capital, where it is one of 20 towers in the new central business district. It reaches 394 meters (1,293 ft) of structural height, the highest of any building or structure in Africa. Egypt's Ministry of Housing led the overall plan for the district.

Its form was planned and inspired by a pharaonic obelisk, and the glass skin represents the Shuti crown of Amun. The tower has 77 floors, given mostly to offices, and a total area of over 265,000 m2, or 2,850,000 sq ft. Dar al-Handasah Shair & Partners is the architect of record for the project.

Excavation of the land started in May 2018, and foundation concrete was poured after a ceremony held on February 25, 2019. On August 24, 2021 the tower reached full height, becoming Africa's tallest structure, and it was finished in 2024, overtaking the Great Mosque of Algiers Tower as Africa's tallest building. CSCE, the main contractor, helped employ more than 5,000 Egyptian workers.

About this model

The Iconic Tower is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
