Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Domes and a single minaret

The central dome, small domes and the lone minaret are the fine parts. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale; a larger print or a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keeps more detail.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Kılıç Ali Pasha Complex is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Kılıç Ali Pasha Complex takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Kılıç Ali Pasha Complex

The Kılıç Ali Pasha Complex is in Tophane, a neighborhood of the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. Its patron was the Grand Admiral (Kapudan-i Derya) Kılıç Ali Pasha. He was told to put it beside the sea because of his rank as admiral. Five elements make up the complex: mosque, medrese, hamam, tomb (türbe) and fountain.

Mimar Sinan, in his 90s at the time, designed and built the complex between 1580 and 1587, though the medrese may not be his design. Building the mosque alone took from 1578 to 1580, and the hamam was finished in 1583. The central dome is 12.70 meters (41.7 ft) in diameter and rests on pendentives, granite piers and two half-domes, a plan that resembles Hagia Sophia.

The mosque has one minaret with a single gallery and 247 windows. Five small domes over the prayer hall rest on six marble columns. At first the mosque was right at the edge of the Bosphorus, but the water in front of it was filled in, and other buildings surround it. The courtyard has a marble fountain for ablutions, and the octagonal tomb of Kılıç Ali Pasha has a dome designed by Sinan.
