Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tapered shaft and antenna

The shaft narrows over a long run into a tall antenna with an open lattice base. Print friendly adapts the thin mast; Full detail keeps the lattice for a large print and a fine nozzle.

  2. Projecting deck rims

Five circular deck rims widen up the head above a ribbed, fan-shaped soffit. A 0.12–0.16 mm layer height and a bigger print keep the rim edges crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Kuala Lumpur Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Kuala Lumpur Tower takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Kuala Lumpur Tower

KL Tower, as it is colloquially called, is a telecommunication tower 421 meters (1,381 ft) tall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Among towers of its kind it ranks seventh in the world. An antenna brings the structure to 421 meters (1,381 ft), and the pod's roof is 336.5 meters (1,104 ft) up. Stairs and an elevator serve the upper level, where a revolving restaurant gives diners a view across the city.

A groundbreaking ceremony overseen by Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad took place on October 1, 1991. In the second building phase, roughly 50,000 cubic meters of concrete went in during a 31-hour continuous pour, setting a Malaysian construction record. The antenna mast went up on September 13, 1994, at the tower's final height. Public opening came on July 23, 1996; at that point it stood as Malaysia's tallest structure, until the Petronas Twin Towers overtook it three years later.

Runners climb the stairs in a race held every year, and the tower doubles as an Islamic falak observatory. There, the crescent moon is sighted to mark the start of Ramadhan, Syawal and Zulhijjah in the Muslim calendar. No other public viewpoint in Kuala Lumpur reaches higher, and it is also used for broadcasting.
