About Las Vegas City Hall (1973)

Las Vegas, Nevada, had its municipal government based in Las Vegas City Hall. The building is downtown, entered mainly from Stewart Avenue, and is described as an illustration of modern architecture from the 1960s. An eleven-story central tower, the original part, was completed in 1973.

In 2003 an addition was completed, with a three-story surround for the central tower, a sky bridge linking a parking deck to the structure, and added office space. That year the addition won the Citation award from American Institute of Architects Nevada.

A new city hall went up at another site from 2010, and city government moved out of the old building in early 2012. It was bought in 2012 for $18 million, and Zappos occupied it in 2013 after an extensive renovation. In 2020 Zappos sold the property for $65 million in a sale and leaseback.

Curved tower with a sloped top
The central tower is rounded and ends in a sloped roof with a small rooftop box. Print slowly, and layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the curve smooth.
Round courtyard and rooftop panels
A circular courtyard opening cuts into the wide low roof, which carries many small skylight-like panels. Use Print friendly to adapt the small panels to the print scale, or Full detail on a larger print.
One piece with the ground
Las Vegas City Hall (1973) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Las Vegas City Hall (1973) takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
