About the LDLC Arena
The LDLC Arena, a name used for sponsorship reasons, is also called the OL Arena. It is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Décines-Charpieu, a commune within the Metropolis of Lyon, France. OL Groupe owns it. Opened in November 2023, it has sporting events and concerts as its main uses. It sits near the Parc Olympique Lyonnais, a stadium and training complex.
In December 2018, the basketball club ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne announced a multi-function arena project. The club needed a venue meeting EuroLeague requirements for international games, and its Astroballe held only 5,556 seats. Olympique Lyon chose Populous and Citinea, a subsidiary of Vinci SA, to design and build the hall, with the contract coming in July 2021. The same two companies had worked on Groupama Stadium, which opened in 2016.
The shell was finished in February 2023. Its support structure spans 70 m and weighs 1,200 t, and the amount of concrete was cut by 25 percent against the original plan, with low-carbon concrete used. The first basketball game took place on November 23, 2023: LDLC ASVEL lost 100–101 after two overtimes against FC Bayern Munich, before 11,354 spectators. WWE held SmackDown on May 3, 2024, and Backlash France a day later.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 8 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 11 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Ribbed roof and rooftop boxes
- The wide flat roof is ribbed and carries small rooftop boxes. Print friendly adapts the smallest of them to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print.
- Vertical fins on the walls
- The walls are lined with fine vertical fins and a lettered panel on the south side. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep this detail crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- The LDLC Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The LDLC Arena takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
The LDLC Arena is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a LDLC Arena STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The LDLC Arena grows with the print: about 8 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
