5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A very small model
The tower is small and sits among taller neighbors, so its details are tiny. A bigger print size keeps more of them.
- Ridged roof and wall details
Print friendly adapts small roof and wall details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps fine lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Leaning Tower of Toruń is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Leaning Tower of Toruń takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Leaning Tower of Toruń
The Leaning Tower of Toruń (Krzywa Wieża w Toruniu in Polish) is a medieval tower in the Old Town of Toruń, Poland, on Pod Krzywą Wieżą street. Its top leans 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) away from true vertical. It counts among the most important landmarks of the Old Town. The tower belongs to the Medieval Town of Toruń, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and carries the status of a Historic Monument of Poland.
Builders raised the tower in the 13th century, in red brick, to defend the town. Loamy ground under it caused the lean. When the 18th century came, defense was no longer its job, and it turned into a women's prison. The 19th century brought a blacksmith's shop and a gunsmith's apartment, and a pitched roof replaced the Gothic tented roof. During the 1970s and 80s a souvenir shop and café operated inside.
Tour guides tell legends about the tower. In one, a knight of the Teutonic Order who secretly met a rich merchant's daughter was ordered to build a tower, and it had to lean, mirroring the way he had strayed from his order's rule.
