10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Towers and roofline detail
A church with towers prints best at a larger size, where the roofline and tower edges stay crisp. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers for the thin vertical parts.
- One piece with the ground
The Lutheran Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Lutheran Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Lutheran Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul
The Lutheran Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, also called the Petrikirche, is a Lutheran church in central St. Petersburg on Nevsky Prospekt. Worship is in German and Russian. It ranks among Russia's oldest and largest Protestant churches, and it is called the German church because its members were mostly German-speaking.
A decree of December 26, 1727 gave the German Lutheran community land for a church, school and parsonage. The church was founded on June 29, 1728 and consecrated on June 25, 1730. The first building was Petrine Baroque, made of brick and topped by a wooden turret, and it could hold 1,500 people. By 1832 the building had fallen into disrepair, and Alexander Bryullov won the competition to replace it. He combined Romanesque motifs with Russian classicism. The old church was demolished in 1833, and the new one was consecrated on October 31, 1838. In 1895–1897 Maximilian Messmacher redesigned the interior.
