Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Wide, low hangars

Hangars are broad, low buildings, so the details are small at print scale. Full detail keeps more small features on a larger print; Print friendly simplifies thin parts for smaller sizes.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Military Aviation Museum Hangars is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Military Aviation Museum Hangars takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Military Aviation Museum Hangars

The Military Aviation Museum is in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Among private collections of warbirds kept in flying condition, it is described as one of the largest in the world. Its aircraft come from the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, France and Germany, and span the First and Second World Wars, with dates from the 1910s through the early 1950s. Gerald "Jerry" Yagen founded the museum in 2005, and the hangars opened to the public in 2008.

Its home is a small private grass airfield of its own, the Virginia Beach Airport, in Pungo. One group of buildings has two display hangars that flank the main museum building, one on either side. Another group has a wooden hangar replicating a World War I-era design, a maintenance hangar built entirely new as a copy of a 1937 Works Progress Administration plan, a restored pre-WWII Luftwaffe metal hangar, and three matching storage hangars painted to look like British hangars of World War II.

The Luftwaffe hangar dates from 1934, when it was built at Cottbus Air Base. The museum bought it in 2004, and it was taken apart and sent to Virginia Beach. The airfield control tower came from RAF Goxhill, and a big water tower painted in orange and white checks serves as a landmark.

About this model

The Military Aviation Museum Hangars is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
