Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Crenellations and stair rails

The model has a long flat-roofed comb of wings, a crenellated command tower and six exterior stairs. Print friendly simplifies the small merlons and handrails; Full detail keeps them for a large print or a fine nozzle.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Moncada Barracks is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Moncada Barracks takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Moncada Barracks

The Moncada Barracks were a military barracks in Santiago de Cuba, named for General Guillermo Moncada, a hero of Cuba's War of Independence. Fidel Castro led a small revolutionary group against the compound on July 26, 1953. They failed, and those who survived went to prison. The assault is widely accepted as the start of the Cuban Revolution.

A simultaneous attack happened that day at Bayamo's Carlos M. de Cespedes Barracks, directed by Raúl Martínez Ararás on Castro's order. Castro adopted the date as the name of his movement, Movimiento 26 Julio, shortened to M-26-7. The movement later toppled Fulgencio Batista's dictatorship on January 1, 1959.

The Moncada force numbered 136 rebels, with another 24 meant for Bayamo. They intended to take the barracks and the weapons kept there, and to send false messages over the army's communications equipment for several hours. The attack began poorly: the caravan became separated by the time it reached the barracks, and the car with the heavy weapons was lost.
