Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A long body and tall front

A cathedral of this kind has a long body of roofs and a tall front. Print it at 200 mm or larger, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers to keep the roof edges and the front crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Naples Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Naples Cathedral takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Naples Cathedral

Naples Cathedral, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary, is the main church of the city in southern Italy and the seat of its archbishop. It is widely called the Cathedral of Saint Januarius, in honor of the city's patron saint. King Charles I of Anjou commissioned the present building, which is Angevin Gothic. Construction continued under Charles II, and under Robert of Anjou it was finished early in the 14th century, over two paleo-Christian basilicas; excavations below have revealed Greek and Roman artifacts.

Inside, the chapel that holds the Treasure of San Gennaro has frescoes by Domenichino and Lanfranco, altarpieces from Domenichino, Stanzione and Ribera, a high altar by Solimena and a bronze railing by Fanzago. Other works include Perugino's Assumption, canvases by Luca Giordano and a paleo-Christian baptistery whose mosaics date from the 4th century. Tommaso Malvito, a Lombard, made the crypt; Enrico Alvino reworked the facade late in the 19th century, keeping the 15th-century portal and sculptures by Tino da Camaino.

A vial holding the blood of Saint Januarius is kept in the church and it is brought out three times each year: the first Saturday in May, September 19 and December 16. On those days the dried blood usually liquefies, and legend says that disaster will befall Naples if it does not. The Archbishop's Palace stands next to the cathedral.
