Make this print opens the generator on a 1000 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Two wings in an arc

The palace is a pair of wings curving apart with open space between them rather than one joined block. Print larger, or choose Full detail, so the pavilion edges at either end stay sharp.

  2. A hollow between the wings

The open terrace between the two wings leaves the model hollow in the middle, so the pavilions at either end carry the shape. Print friendly adapts small details; 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep their edges crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Palais de Chaillot is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Palais de Chaillot takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Palais de Chaillot

The Palais de Chaillot sits on the crest of the Chaillot Hill, in the Trocadéro district of Paris's 16th arrondissement. Léon Azéma, Jacques Carlu and Louis-Hippolyte Boileau designed it in a classicizing "moderne" style for the Exposition Internationale of 1937, when the 1878 Palais du Trocadéro on the same ground was partly pulled down and partly rebuilt to create the present palace.

It is really two separate wings set in a wide arc, carried over from the earlier palace with taller portions built in front, while the old central hall and towers came down and left only their basement. A broad esplanade covers the top, and the view runs open from the Place du Trocadéro across to the Eiffel Tower and beyond. Paul Valéry's words are quoted on the walls, sculptural groups stand at attic level, and eight gilded figures line the Rights of Man terrace.

The wings hold museums: the Musée de l'Homme and the Musée national de la Marine in the southern, Passy wing, and the eastern wing, the Paris one, holds the architecture and heritage museum along with the Musée national des Monuments Français, with an entrance to the Théâtre national de Chaillot beneath the esplanade. In 1948 the palace hosted the third meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted on December 10 of that year, and the esplanade takes its name from that event.
