Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A tall, slender tower

For a tower this tall and narrow, print at a larger size and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers so the vertical faces stay crisp; slow the print near the top for stability.

  2. Landmark detail setting

Full detail keeps every modeled feature and suits a large print or a fine nozzle; Print friendly adapts thin parts and small details to the print scale.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Palazzo Lombardia is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Palazzo Lombardia takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Palazzo Lombardia

Palazzo Lombardia, named after the Lombardy region, is a government office complex in Milan, Italy. The complex is owned by the Lombardy region. It includes a tower of 43 stories and 161 m (528 ft), set in the Centro Direzionale di Milano, the business district northwest of the city center. The complex was first inaugurated on January 22, 2010, and officially completed on March 21, 2010.

Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, with Henry N. Cobb as the design partner, designed the complex after winning an international competition in 2004. Once finished, the Lombardy government tower briefly held the title of tallest skyscraper in Milan and in Italy, exceeding Milan's Pirelli Tower and the Telecom Italia Tower in Naples. The Unicredit Tower, also in Milan, took that title in 2011. In 2012 it won the International Architecture Award as the best new global design.
