4 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Low buildings, broad site
The complex is a group of low buildings spread over a wide site rather than a tower, so the plan carries more of the model than the height does. A bigger print keeps the separate buildings apart.
- Full detail when enlarged
The campus has small separate structures as well as large ones. Choose Full detail if you scale the print up, and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers so the roof edges stay clean.
- One piece with the ground
The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum
Richard Nixon's presidential library and museum occupies a 9-acre (3.6 hectares) campus at 18001 Yorba Linda Boulevard, in Yorba Linda, California, on ground the Nixon family once owned. It is both a presidential library and the burial site of Richard Nixon, 37th president of the United States, in office from 1969 to 1974, and of his wife Pat Nixon. The library is one of 13 in the federal system overseen by the National Archives.
The campus also includes a National Historic Landmark called the Richard Nixon Birthplace, the house where Nixon spent his childhood and was born in 1913. His father built the house from a home building kit, and it has been restored to appear as it did in the 1910s. Both Nixons are buried on the grounds, a few feet from that house, which stands behind the museum. The museum itself occupies a building of 52,000 square feet (4,800 square meters).
The complex was dedicated on July 19, 1990, before a crowd of 50,000. Until July 11, 2007 the Richard Nixon Foundation, a private body, ran it under the name Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace. The museum shows memorabilia and artifacts of the Nixons, the customized 1969 Lincoln Continental that Nixon used throughout his presidency, and a piece of the Berlin Wall that stands 12 feet (3.7 m) high. On the grounds stands the VH-3A "Sea King" helicopter that served several presidents. A $15 million renovation in 2016 left the museum with nearly 70 exhibits.
