Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A long city block

The library is a long, broad building rather than a tower. Print it larger, or use Full detail, so the facade and roof edge stay readable at 0.12–0.16 mm layers.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Russian State Library is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Russian State Library takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Russian State Library

The Russian State Library in Moscow numbers among Russia's three national libraries. It is Russia's largest library, Europe's second largest, and among the largest anywhere; its holdings crossed 47 million units in 2017. A federal library, it is overseen by the Ministry of Culture. Its foundation lay in the public museum that opened in Moscow in 1862, evolved from several collections, most notably the library and historical collection of Count Nikolay Rumyantsev. It took Lenin's name in 1924 and its present name in 1992.

The library occupies several buildings in different architectural styles. In 2012 it reported more than 275 km of shelves, with more than 17 million books and bound serials, 13 million magazines, 370 thousand scores and sound recordings, and 150,000 maps. Its items are in 247 languages, and the foreign part is about 29 percent of the whole collection; in 2017 the holdings covered more than 360 languages.

The library was founded on July 1, 1862, becoming Moscow's first free public library. The new buildings' design came from architects Vladimir Shchuko and Vladimir Gelfreikh, chosen in a competition announced in December 1927; it was later much modified. Authorities approved the first stage in 1929, work began in 1930, and it was largely complete by 1941, with a modernized neoclassicism exterior. A 250-seat reading hall opened in 1945, and additions continued until 1960. Statues stand on the roof.
