7 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Roof and window rows
The library is a long city building, so the roofline and wall edges carry the shape. Print larger if you want the facade detail crisp; Print friendly adapts the smallest parts.
- One piece with the ground
The Sainte-Geneviève Library is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Sainte-Geneviève Library takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Sainte-Geneviève Library
The Sainte-Geneviève Library is a university library serving the universities of Paris, administered by Sorbonne-Nouvelle University. It stands at 10, place du Panthéon in the 5th arrondissement, across the square from the Panthéon. It grew from the Abbey of Saint Genevieve's collection; Clovis I, King of the Franks, founded the abbey in the 6th century. The collection survived the French Revolution, and Henri Labrouste built a new reading room between 1838 and 1851, using an innovative iron frame to support its roof.
The abbey is said to have begun in the early 6th century on a site chosen by Saint Genevieve, facing the original Roman forum. By the 9th century it had become an abbey church with a large monastery and a scriptorium; the first record of the library dates from 831. Viking raids sacked the abbey and scattered its books, but the collection was gradually rebuilt. By the early 13th century, the library had won fame across Europe, and an inventory from that century lists 226 titles.
During the French Revolution the abbey was secularized and its property confiscated, but director Alexandre Pingré kept the collection together and added books from other abbeys. In 1796 it was renamed the National Library of the Panthéon. It retains an astronomical clock described as the oldest of its kind, along with globes and eighty-six busts of French scientists. By the early 19th century the collection had grown to more than twice its former size; it holds around 2 million documents.
