  1. A compact church block

The church is small and compact, so its front, roof edges and other fine features sit close together at print scale. Print it larger, or use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers, to keep them readable.

  2. One piece with the ground

St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Cairo is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Cairo takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Cairo

The church of St. Peter and St. Paul is a small Coptic church in Cairo's Abbassia district, near Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, which holds the seat of the Coptic Orthodox pope of Alexandria. It is commonly called El-Botroseya, or the Petrine Church. It dates from 1911 and stands over the tomb of Boutros Ghali, who was Egypt's prime minister between 1908 and his assassination in 1910.

Ghali's family supervised the construction, and the church was first named for Saints Peter and Paul. Over the years it became known as the Botroseya Church; it was the first church named for a political family. His grandson Boutros Boutros Ghali, who served as the sixth UN secretary-general and as Egypt's foreign minister, was buried in February 2016 in the crypt under the altar.

Antonio Lasciac, the chief architect named by Khedive Isma'il Pasha, designed the church in the basilica style, with a length of 28 m and a width of 17 m. Marbled columns line both sides of the central nave, dividing it from the aisles, and Italian paintings overhead depict scenes from the lives of Jesus, the apostles and several saints. Venetian mosaics appear on the walls, and a two-step slab of black marble closing the central aisle carries Ghali's supposed final words.
