About Stockholm City Hall
Stockholm City Hall is the seat of Stockholm Municipality. It sits at the eastern tip of Kungsholmen, an island beside the northern shore of Riddarfjärden, facing Riddarholmen and Södermalm. Inside are offices, conference rooms and ceremonial halls, and it hosts the Nobel Prize banquet.
The city council decided in 1907 to build it, and Ragnar Östberg won the commission after a further competition against Carl Westman. Östberg took the tower from Westman's design and kept reworking his plans during construction. Construction lasted from 1911 until 1923, twelve years in all, and used nearly eight million red bricks. It was inaugurated on June 23, 1923.
The style is National Romantic: massive, austere northern brick walls mixed with playful touches that recall Venetian Gothic, such as statues, wooden masts, turrets with golden starlets and decorated balconies. A monumental tower at the southeast corner is 106 meters high and crowned with the Three Crowns, the national symbol of Sweden. The Blue Hall holds an organ with 10,270 pipes, the largest in Scandinavia.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- A tall tower with a lantern
- The square tower and its slim lantern top are the thinnest, tallest parts. Print slowly with good cooling, and use a bigger print size or Full detail to keep the lantern crisp.
- Small turrets and arcades
- Corner turrets, spires and the open arcade facing the water are small details. Print friendly adapts them to your scale; a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them sharp.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Stockholm City Hall takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Stockholm City Hall is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Stockholm City Hall STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Stockholm City Hall grows with the print: about 29 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
