About Sunset Station

Sunset Station, in Henderson, Nevada, is a hotel and a casino aimed at locals, owned and run by Station Casinos. It was Henderson's first hotel-casino resort when its doors opened on June 10, 1997, and it cost $198 million to build. It was also Station's fourth property in the Las Vegas Valley and its most upscale. Its theme is Spanish and Mediterranean, and a Hollywood film set designer created the exterior facades, which resemble Spanish villages.

The resort has a casino of 163,951 sq ft, and its 21-story hotel tower holds 448 rooms and stands 230 feet tall, making it Henderson's tallest building. The interior was designed by the Las Vegas firm Morris & Brown, drawing on architecture from Valencia, Seville, Segovia, Madrid and Barcelona. The Gaudi Bar has a 6,000-square-foot stained glass ceiling made of thousands of pieces of glass.

The resort also has a movie theater, a bowling alley with 72 lanes and a range of restaurants. Strike Zone, the bowling alley, covers 76,000 square feet and opened in 2005 at a cost of $26 million. Entertainment is staged at the 600-seat Club Madrid and in an amphitheater.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 800 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale

200 mm 19 mm 1:4,000

Small turrets and cupolas
Little domed turrets and gateway towers dot the low roofline. Use Print friendly to adapt them to the print scale, or Full detail on a larger print.
Wide, low model
The resort spreads across a broad site with one taller tower. A larger print size keeps the small rooftop details readable, and layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the tower crisp.
One piece with the ground
Sunset Station is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Sunset Station takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Sunset Station is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Sunset Station STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Sunset Station grows with the print: about 15 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
