About Swaminarayan Akshardham (Delhi)
Swaminarayan Akshardham is a temple complex in Delhi, India, close to the border with Noida, where Hindu culture and architecture, traditional and modern, are on show. It is also called Akshardham Temple or Akshardham Delhi. The organization BAPS built it: Yogiji Maharaj was the inspiration and Pramukh Swami Maharaj the creator. It is the second largest of the world's BAPS Hindu temples; the largest is Akshardham in New Jersey. Pramukh Swami Maharaj opened it on November 6, 2005, after construction began on November 8, 2000.
The main temple, the Akshardham Mandir, is 43 meters (141 ft) high, 96 meters (316 ft) wide and 109 meters (356 ft) long, and it stands beside the Yamuna River. It is built of Italian Carrara marble and Rajasthani pink sandstone. Following traditional Hindu architectural guidelines, it went up without ferrous metals, so no steel or concrete holds it up. Carvings of flora, fauna, dancers, musicians and deities cover it. It has 234 carved pillars and nine domes, and a plinth called the Gajendra Pith forms the base, carrying 148 life-sized elephants that weigh 3,000 tons together.
Around the temple the complex includes a thematic garden, three exhibitions and a multimedia water show. The Yagnapurush Kund, also called the Musical Fountain, is described as India's largest stepwell. Measuring 91 by 91 meters (300 by 300 feet), it has 108 small shrines and 2,870 steps. The Narayan Sarovar, a lake around the main monument, holds water gathered from 151 rivers and lakes thought to have been sanctified by Swaminarayan.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 12 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 16 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Slender pillars and stepped roofs
- Thin pillars hold up stepped pavilion roofs around the clustered domes. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale, while Full detail keeps every pillar, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.
- Tiny elephants and a thin flag
- Small elephants line the base, and a slender flag rises from the top dome. A bigger print size shows the elephants more clearly, and a slower print speed helps the flag stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- Swaminarayan Akshardham (Delhi) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Swaminarayan Akshardham (Delhi) takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
