Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Slow down for the tower

A tall building gives each layer little time to cool near the top. Printing slowly with good cooling, and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm, keeps the upper floors crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The TC Energy Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The TC Energy Center takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the TC Energy Center

The TC Energy Center is a 56-story highrise in downtown Houston, Texas, and an early, significant case of postmodern design going up in the city. Johnson/Burgee Architects designed it, and it was completed in October 1983. Its look recalls the Dutch Gothic canal houses of the Netherlands: the tower has three segmented setbacks, each finished with a steeply pitched gabled roofline and spires.

The exterior stone is red Swedish granite, which gives the building a "dark pink" appearance. The northeast corner holds a building within a building. Moving the telegraph cables of the main Western Union building on the site proved unfeasible, so a new structure was built over it and the existing one was kept intact inside.

The banking center sits in a separate building, as a result of construction problems, and its lobby is three stories tall. The tower has 32 passenger elevators finished with wood panels, and an art gallery in the lobby. Hines Interests developed it. Earlier names include RepublicBank Center, NCNB Center, NationsBank Center and Bank of America Center, and the TC Energy name dates from 2019.

About this model

The TC Energy Center is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
