152 m of Tour Ariane, 46 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Fine perforated cladding
The walls show a dense pattern of small recesses, and the crown carries lettering. A larger print size and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keep this texture crisp.
- Tall block among neighbors
This is a plain tall block with a flat crown, so there is no thin spire to worry about. A larger print size keeps more of the cladding pattern.
- One piece with the ground
Tour Ariane is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Tour Ariane takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Tour Ariane
Tour Ariane, which means Ariane Tower in English, is an office skyscraper in the La Défense business district of high-rises, west of Paris, France. It carried the name tour Générale from 1973 to 1995. The tower was built in 1975 and counts among the second generation of skyscrapers in La Défense. It stands 152 m (499 ft) high with 36 floors. Jean de Mailly is listed as the architect.
The design is very conventional, but the cladding is described as interesting and original, and the entrance was modified in the 1990s. On March 27, 2014, Alain Robert, a rock and urban climber from France nicknamed the French Spider-Man, scaled the tower in 45 minutes. A crowd of onlookers and police watched. He was arrested and later let go without charge.
