210 m of Tour Montparnasse, 58 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A tall, plain slab
The tower's shape is simple and very tall for its width, so the vertical faces carry the whole silhouette. A larger print keeps the proportions comfortable, and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep those faces clean.
- Slow down near the top
Nothing on the model reaches far beyond the walls, which keeps it easy to read at small sizes. Print friendly adapts the smallest parts; Full detail holds the crisp edges of the roofline on a large print.
- One piece with the ground
Tour Montparnasse is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Tour Montparnasse takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Tour Montparnasse
Tour Montparnasse, formally Tour Maine-Montparnasse, is an office skyscraper 210 meters (689 ft) tall in Paris's Montparnasse area. It was built from 1969 to 1973 and was France's tallest skyscraper until 2011, when the taller Tour First overtook it. That tower, 231 meters (758 ft), stands in the La Défense business district beyond the city limits, and no other building inside Paris is taller.
The architects Eugène Beaudouin, Louis de Hoÿm de Marien and Urbain Cassan designed the tower, and Campenon Bernard built it. It contains 59 floors and sits above the Montparnasse–Bienvenüe station on the Paris Métro. Windows line only the outer edge of each floor, a layout that predates the later fashion of giving every office a view.
An observation deck called Paris Montparnasse, 200 m (660 ft) above ground level, occupies the 56th floor, which also holds a restaurant named Ciel de Paris; there is a rooftop terrace as well, and the view can stretch 40 km (25 mi) on a clear day. Parisians have often criticized the tower's plain, monolithic massing as out of place in the city, and two years after its completion Paris banned buildings of more than seven stories in the center.
About this model
Tour Montparnasse is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
