  1. A tall cathedral mass

This is a tall subject at the default print size; print it larger for a clean silhouette. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers and print slowly near the top.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Trinity Cathedral, Saint Petersburg is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Trinity Cathedral, Saint Petersburg

Trinity Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox church in Saint Petersburg and an example of the late Empire style. Vasily Stasov designed it, and construction ran from 1828 to 1835 as the church of the Izmailovsky regiment of the Imperial guards. It stands on Izmaylovskiy Prospekt, south of the Admiralty, near the Tekhnologichesky Institut Metro station.

It has room for up to 3,000 visitors and rises more than 80 meters (260 ft), dominating the skyline around it. A memorial column in front of its northern facade was built in 1886 to mark the Russian victory in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878. In 1867 the writer Fyodor Dostoevsky married Anna Snitkina there, and in 1990 the cathedral was included in the Saint Petersburg World Heritage Site.

The cathedral closed in 1938 after its valuables were looted, and it later became a warehouse for the Soviet Ministry of Telecommunications. It returned to the Russian Orthodox Church in 1990. In 2006 a fire during reconstruction brought down the main dome and one smaller dome; restoration followed, and the cathedral reopened in 2010.
