About Two Arizona Center
Two Arizona Center is one of two office towers in Arizona Center, a mixed-use development in downtown Phoenix that also has shops and a movie theater. It stands 88 m (290 ft) tall and has 20 floors. The tower opened in March 1989. Arizona Public Service (APS), the local electric utility, pre-leased it and occupied it as a very large corporate headquarters. Its neighbor, One Arizona Center, has 19 floors, is 79 m (260 ft) tall, and opened in October 1990.
Downtown Phoenix was suffering from urban decay when the Phoenix Community Alliance spotted a site of 6.5 ha (16 acres) at the city's core, called the "Superblock" at the time. The alliance assembled the parcels and sold the land on to Rouse Company, from Columbia, Maryland, which was to build a mixed-use complex stressing offices, specialty restaurants, quality retail and entertainment. Rouse's earlier projects included Boston's Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Baltimore's Harborplace, and Arizona Center was modeled after them.
Landscaping was a major part of the plan. Around the time Two Arizona Center opened, 900 palm trees from California were brought to Phoenix to landscape a development area of six blocks. The SWA Group designed the large central plaza, with its landscaped courtyards and fountains, and for that work it received a National Merit Award, from the American Society of Landscape Architects.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 21 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 27 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Stepped crown and roof boxes
- The top of the tower steps back in several tiers with small roof boxes. "Print friendly" adapts the smallest of these to the print scale; "Full detail" keeps them, which suits a larger print.
- Fine horizontal window bands
- The sides are covered in thin horizontal bands. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp up the full height of the tower.
- One piece with the ground
- Two Arizona Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Two Arizona Center takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Two Arizona Center is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Two Arizona Center STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Two Arizona Center grows with the print: about 21 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
