Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Stepped tower shoulders

The tower rises in stages with narrow recessed wings and small octagonal glass rooms at the setbacks. Print friendly adapts those thin ledges; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  2. Flat crown and ribs

The model ends in a flat, rounded crown with a shallow roof well and thin projecting rib caps. A larger print and layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the ribs and crown edges crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Wells Fargo Center (Minneapolis) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Wells Fargo Center (Minneapolis) takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Wells Fargo Center (Minneapolis)

The Wells Fargo Center occupies 90 South 7th Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota; before it took the bank's name it was the Norwest Center. The tower was finished in 1988 and stands 236 m (774 ft) high. Only the IDS Center and Capella Tower rise above it in the city. For many years the tower was thought to stand one foot shorter than Capella Tower, though Capella turned out not to be a foot taller.

César Pelli gave the building a modernized art deco character, drawing on nearby landmarks including the CenturyLink Building and the Foshay Tower, and many see it as a tribute to the 30 Rockefeller Plaza tower in New York. The tower replaced the old Northwestern National Bank Building, damaged by fire in 1982 and demolished by implosion two years after that. An early scheme proposed a square-footprint tower of 45 stories that would have been Minneapolis's tallest; a smaller site forced a redesign.

Northwestern National became Norwest Corporation, which kept its headquarters here. In 1998 the company bought Wells Fargo and moved to San Francisco under that name, yet substantial regional work continues in this building. Major tenants also include Faegre Drinker and KPMG. From sunset until midnight, floodlights on the setback roofs wash the upper floors.
