159 m of Westend Gate, 43 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A slab with flat faces
The tower is a tall slab, so broad flat faces carry the silhouette and the roofline does the rest. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the vertical edges clean; slow the print near the top.
- One piece with the ground
Westend Gate is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Westend Gate takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Westend Gate
Westend Gate is a 47-story tower, 159 m (522 ft) tall, in Frankfurt's Westend-Süd district, Germany. It was formerly known as Plaza Büro Center. From 1976 until 1978 it stood as the tallest building in Germany, before the Silberturm in Frankfurt surpassed it. The Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds lie across the street from the tower.
The Bockenheim Campus of Goethe University Frankfurt and the Naturmuseum Senckenberg are nearby. Two slabs make up the structure, with a narrow wing on the east side. In 2011 the tower was renamed Westend Gate and completely renovated as a green building, and the present name dates from that renovation.
A hotel fills the upper floors, from 26 to 44, while offices occupy the lower half of the tower below. Originally the CP Frankfurt Plaza Hotel, the hotel has carried the Frankfurt Marriott name since 1989. The building therefore combines office space in its lower half with a hotel above.
About this model
Westend Gate is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
