About the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum Hangars
WAAAM is the short name of Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum, an aviation museum found in Hood River, Oregon, on the grounds of Ken Jernstedt Airfield. Its subject is airplanes and motor vehicles dating from the 1900s through the 1930s.
Terry Brandt, whose father owned an FBO, started acquiring antique aircraft early in life. He set up a non-profit organization in 2006, and the museum opened on September 7, 2007, with 42 aircraft plus 20 cars in a building of 4,600 m2 (50,000 square feet). A second hangar came in 2009, which raised the museum to 8,800 m2 (95,000 square feet). Builders added a third hangar in 2013.
By the following September, the collection had reached 75 airplanes and more than 100 automobiles. On display is the front of a 1940s hangar that Evergreen Flying Service used, saved from Evergreen Airport in 2008. Each year the museum stages a Fly-In at Hood River and the Traffic Jam Car Show, held early in July, and it runs driving schools covering Model Ts and other vintage cars.

- Fine ribbing on the roofs
- The big gabled roofs carry very fine ribbing. Print friendly adapts it to the print scale; Full detail keeps every line on a larger print.
- Small entrance building
- A small front building with a sign sits against the hangars. Layers of 0.12-0.16 mm keep its details crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- The Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum Hangars is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum Hangars takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
