Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Church details at small sizes

A building of this kind carries much of its detail in small wall features, which shrink at model scale. Print larger, and use Print friendly so thin parts adapt to your print scale.

  2. Layers for vertical detail

Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep long vertical edges and roofline edges crisp. Printing slowly with cooling on helps the tallest parts stay clean.

  3. One piece with the ground

Yelokhovo Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Yelokhovo Cathedral takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Yelokhovo Cathedral

Yelokhovo Cathedral is formally the Epiphany Cathedral at Yelokhovo. It is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in Moscow and serves as the vicarial church for the Moscow Patriarchs. Yevgraph Tyurin designed and built the present building between 1837 and 1845 in a Neoclassical style, with the late Empire manner and a few touches of European eclecticism.

An earlier church stood at Yelokhovo, then a village near Moscow, built from 1722 to 1731 for Tsarevna Praskovia Ivanovna; Alexander Pushkin was baptized in it in 1799. A refectory and a four-tier belfry followed in 1790. The lavish interior decoration dates from a restoration in 1912. The cathedral has been well maintained, even through the Soviet era.

When the Kremlin cathedrals were closed in 1918, and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Dorogomilovo Cathedral were later destroyed, the seat of the Russian Orthodox Church moved to Yelokhovo, the largest open church left in Moscow. Four patriarchs were enthroned there: Sergius I, Alexius I, Pimen and Alexius II. The main altar honors the Baptism of Jesus and the Epiphany, and the cathedral keeps relics of St. Alexius of Moscow, plus a Kazan Icon copy from the 17th century.
