6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Pointed window bays
The facades repeat pointed glass bays with round windows between them. Print friendly adapts these small openings to the print scale; Full detail keeps every modeled frame.
- Barrel roof curve
The roof is one smooth barrel across the hall. A 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keeps the curve and its straight crest clean.
- One piece with the ground
Allstate Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Allstate Arena takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Allstate Arena
Allstate Arena is a multi-purpose venue in Rosemont, Illinois, northwest of Chicago and about 3 miles north of O'Hare International Airport. It sits just north of the interchange between Mannheim Road and the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway. Its first name was the Rosemont Horizon when it opened in 1980. At concerts it holds 22,000, at basketball games 17,500, at ice hockey 16,692 and at arena football 16,143.
The American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves play there, and DePaul's Blue Demons used it as their home arena from 1980 through 2017. Before that, DePaul played its home games on campus. It stands where Mannheim Road meets Lunt Avenue. Its timber roof was designed to muffle the sound of aircraft passing over nearby O'Hare.
The building was financed with $19 million in bonds from Rosemont. The uncompleted roof gave way in August 1979; five construction workers died and 16 others were injured. Fleetwood Mac played the first concert there on May 15, 1980, and Allstate bought the naming rights in 1999. It hosted the Division I men's basketball tournament of the NCAA three times.
