18 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Open retractable roof
The rectangular roof is shown open, with two parked leaves and a real gap above the bowl. Print friendly adapts the thin roof edges; a larger print keeps the exposed frame and the opening crisp.
- Elliptical shell and ribbons
The arena is a low ellipse with stepped horizontal glazing bands and recessed entrances. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the ribbon steps and entrance piers clean.
- One piece with the ground
Astana Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Astana Arena takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Astana Arena
Astana Arena, a football stadium in Astana, Kazakhstan, has 30,000 seats and a retractable roof. It is the national stadium of the Kazakhstan national football team and the largest stadium in the country. FC Bayterek, which plays in the Kazakhstan First Division, and FC Astana, a Kazakhstan Premier League club, also play there.
Construction ran from 2006 to 2009 and cost US$185 million, and the stadium opened on July 3, 2009. Populous designed it with Tabanlioglu Architects, and Sembol Construction was the general contractor. The opening match was between Lokomotiv Astana and the Kazakhstan national under-21 team. On its opening day it was named Kazhymukan Stadium, after the wrestler Kazhymukan Munaitpasov, and it later took the name Astana Arena.
Inside, a lower terrace of 16,000 seats circles the field, and the upper seating along the east and west sides holds a further 14,000 spectators. Astana Arena held the ceremony that opened the 7th Asian Winter Games, on January 31, 2011.
