Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Large block, long roofline

A museum building of this size is a large block with long wall lines and a broad roof. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the vertical edges and the roofline crisp.

  2. Details at print scale

At the default size the wall openings and roof-level details are small. Full detail keeps every modeled feature; Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Humboldt Forum is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Humboldt Forum takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Humboldt Forum

The Humboldt Forum is a museum devoted to human history, art and culture, housed in the Berlin Palace on Museum Island in the historic center of Berlin. Its name honors Wilhelm and Alexander von Humboldt, Prussian scholars. It is described as a German counterpart to the British Museum and holds the Berlin State Museums' collections from outside Europe, together with temporary exhibitions and public events.

The museum opened digitally on December 16, 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the public could enter from July 20, 2021. It brings together two museums, the Museum of Asian Art and Berlin's Ethnological Museum, both of which trace back to the Ancient Prussian Art Chamber. The building is a reconstruction of the Berlin Palace, and its foundation stone was laid on June 12, 2013.

A restaurant stands on the roof terrace, which at a height of 30 meters has views toward the Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island. Inside, the forum has four wings covering America, Africa, Asia and Oceania, plus galleries such as the Humboldt Lab and the Berlin Exhibition. The Ethnological Museum opened in 1886, and the Museum of Asian Art grew out of the Indian Department within the Ethnological Museum, set up in 1904.
