Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Press box and roof lights

The west stand carries an asymmetric press box with a projecting flat roof and rooftop light banks. Its elevator piers and rails are slender; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print.

  2. Open frames and scoreboards

Open frames under the seating and the scoreboards on separate legs leave thin members that print friendly adapts. Print slowly for the tall boards and light poles, at 0.12–0.16 mm layers.

  3. One piece with the ground

Legion Field is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Legion Field takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Legion Field

Legion Field stands in Birmingham, Alabama. It is an outdoor stadium built mainly for American football, and from time to time it hosts other large outdoor events. It opened in 1927 and is named for the American Legion, an organization of U.S. military veterans. Alabama's Crimson Tide played their home games there until the late 1990s, and for many years the ground hosted the Iron Bowl against Auburn. From 1991 through 2020 the UAB football team played its home games at Legion Field.

Work on a 21,000-seat stadium started in 1926 and cost $439,000. It was finished in 1927, and the first event drew 16,800 fans on November 19, 1927, when Howard College, later Samford University, beat Birmingham–Southern College 9–0. The ground grew over the decades: capacity reached 25,000 in 1934 and 45,000 in 1948, then 54,600 with a new east upper deck in 1961 and 68,821 with a press box in 1965. Capacity reached 83,091 in 1991.

After a structural review found that the 9,000-seat east upper deck needed major repairs, the city removed it in 2005, leaving about 71,594 seats. At its height the ground sat 83,091 and carried the words "Football Capital of the South" on the upper deck. It is nicknamed "The Old Gray Lady", and also "The Gray Lady on Graymont." The field is aligned north to south, about 170 m (570 ft) above sea level.
