4 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Low stadium bowl
A stadium is a low, wide form, so its edges and rooflines read best at a larger print size. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the rim crisp.
- Track and stand edges
The track and stand edges are the finest parts. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail suits large prints.
- One piece with the ground
The Vélodrome de Vincennes is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Vélodrome de Vincennes takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Vélodrome de Vincennes
The Vélodrome de Vincennes is a stadium for cycling in the Bois de Vincennes in Paris; its official name is Vélodrome Jacques Anquetil – La Cipale. It began as a velodrome in 1894 and served as the main venue of the 1900 Summer Olympics, hosting cricket, football, gymnastics, cycling and rugby union. Track and field events went to the Racing Club de France instead.
The stadium was the cycling venue at the 1924 Summer Olympics. It was the Tour de France finish from 1968 to 1974, and each of Eddy Merckx's five Tour victories came there. Before 1968, the race had finished at the Parc des Princes, which hosted the finish from 1904 to 1967.
The stadium substitutes for the Vélodrome d'hiver in La Rafle and Sarah's Key, two films from 2010 about the 1942 round-up of Jews in Paris. It hosts matches in cycling, football and rugby. In 2013, the Marylebone Cricket Club visited France and played three cricket matches at the ground.
