Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tall tower, narrow corners

The triangular tower is tall for its footprint and has narrow corners. Printing slowly with good cooling helps the upper floors, and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the edges crisp.

  2. Fine window grid

The facade is a dense, repeating grid. Print friendly adapts it to the print scale; Full detail on a larger print keeps more of the grid readable.

  3. One piece with the ground

1 Clinton Street is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 1 Clinton Street takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About 1 Clinton Street

A residential building called One Clinton, formerly 280 Cadman Plaza West, stands in Brooklyn Heights, a Brooklyn neighborhood in New York City. Hudson Companies developed it and Marvel Architects designed it. It replaced an earlier Brooklyn Public Library branch, the two-story Brooklyn Heights Library, which was built in 1962 and originally designed to serve as both a library and a fallout shelter.

Hudson Companies purchased the site in September 2014 for $52 million; about $10 million of the proceeds was earmarked for fitting out the new library. Plans to demolish the old building were approved in March 2017. April 2019 saw the new building top out, and by April 2022 construction was largely complete. A three-story branch library opened at its base in the first week of June 2022.

The tower has 36 floors of condominiums above the library and stands 409 feet (125 m) tall. Marvel Architects describe their facade as minimalist, highly repetitive and clad in limestone. The triangular footprint gives the building three facades, facing the harbor to the southwest, Midtown Manhattan to the north, and the brownstone streets of Brooklyn to the east. The residential part has 134 units.
