4 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Porch railings and columns
Slim railings and porch columns wrap the house. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on larger prints, where a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm helps.
- Chimneys and roof rails
Small chimneys and rails sit on the roofs of both linked houses. A bigger print size keeps these small details from turning into blobs.
- One piece with the ground
Gracie Mansion is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Gracie Mansion takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Gracie Mansion
Gracie Mansion, also called Archibald Gracie Mansion, serves as the official home of New York City's mayor. It stands in Carl Schurz Park, in Manhattan's Yorkville neighborhood, where East End Avenue meets 88th Street. The house looks northeast across Hell Gate, a channel of the East River, and sits atop the park's highest point. Built in 1799 in the federal style, it has an original house of two stories plus an annex added in 1966.
The site once held Belview Mansion, built in 1770 for the merchant Jacob Walton and severely damaged by cannonball fire during the American Revolutionary War. Archibald Gracie then built a new house on the spot in 1799 and kept it as a country retreat until 1823. The Foulke family lived in it from 1823 to 1857 and the Wheaton family from 1857 to 1896, when the city made its grounds part of the park. Later it served as a historic house museum, and in 1942 it became a mayoral residence.
Clapboard panels with shutters cover the facade. The first floor of the original house holds a library, parlors, a dining room and a kitchen, and the annex adds a ballroom and reception rooms. A reception wing named for first lady Susan Wagner was finished in 1966, and major renovations followed in 1983–1984 and 2002. The Gracie Mansion Conservancy helps oversee its upkeep, though the city government still owns it.
