Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Boxy tower on a stepped base

A large boxy block sits above a lower, stepped base with low wings. A larger print size helps the base keep its detail, and Full detail keeps every step.

  2. Roof helipad and small details

The roof has a marked pad and small raised details. Print friendly adapts thin parts like these to the print scale; Full detail keeps them for larger prints.

  3. One piece with the ground

1 Police Plaza is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 1 Police Plaza takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About 1 Police Plaza

One Police Plaza, often shortened to 1PP, serves as the New York City Police Department's headquarters. It stands on Park Row in the Civic Center of Manhattan, close to City Hall and to the Brooklyn Bridge. The block it occupies has Pearl Street and Police Plaza on its edges, as well as Park Row. The building took over from the department's earlier headquarters at 240 Centre Street, about 1 mile (1.6 km) to the north.

Gruzen and Partners designed the building in a brutalist style. It has 13 levels and a horizontal emphasis. It is rectangular in plan and takes the form of an inverted pyramid when seen in elevation. It was dedicated on October 16, 1973, and an expansion of 22,000 square feet (2,000 m2) was completed in 2011.

The second floor houses the Real Time Crime Center, a computer network that works as a big search engine and data warehouse. Detectives run it to help field officers with investigations. The Police Commissioner's office is on a floor known as the Thirteenth Floor.
