21 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall stepped block
The model is a tall block with a stepped top. Printing slowly with good cooling helps the upper floors stay clean.
- Dense neighbors
Taller buildings crowd the block, so the block reads as a narrow slice in a compact print. A larger print size and a layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep window detail crisp.
- One piece with the ground
130 Cedar Street is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 130 Cedar Street takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About 130 Cedar Street
Once called the Green Exchange Building, 130 Cedar Street is a mid-rise in Lower Manhattan's Financial District. It occupies a block between Cedar Street and Albany Street along Washington Street, shared with 90 West Street. Renwick, Aspinwall & Guard designed it, and it was built in 1931.
A supermarket opened at the address in 1999. On September 11, 2001, the collapse of the World Trade Center's South Tower sent debris onto the building and left it heavily damaged. It was uninhabitable afterward and lost all of its tenants, and it had to be thoroughly decontaminated, as did many buildings in the area.
A 2004 announcement said the office building would become a hotel. The conversion took many years, and the building then opened as a Club Quarters hotel. The restoration added seven floors of a more modern design, making the building 19 stories tall.
