Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Stepped tiers and roof boxes

The tower steps back in tiers and carries small boxes on the roof. "Print friendly" adapts the smallest of these to the print scale; "Full detail" keeps them, which suits a larger print.

  2. Fine window banding

The sides are covered in thin horizontal window bands. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps these lines crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

2 Broadway is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 2 Broadway takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About 2 Broadway

2 Broadway is an office tower standing at Broadway's southern end, near Bowling Green Park, in Manhattan's Financial District. It has 32 stories and stands 421 feet (128.32 m) tall. Emery Roth & Sons designed it, and it was built from 1958 to 1959. It holds offices of the MTA (the Metropolitan Transportation Authority), and several of the MTA's subsidiary agencies have their headquarters there.

The building fills most of its lot and rises in triple setbacks. It was designed to take the largest volume the zoning rules of the time allowed. Under a zoning change proposed a year after completion, it would have exceeded the maximum shape. The lot is irregular, with frontage on seven streets, and the New York Produce Exchange building, completed in 1884 and designed by George B. Post, once stood on the site.

The facade was originally clad in full-height glass between black horizontal spandrels, with gray mullions and bars that made a staggered pattern. New cladding from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) went on in 1999, and its skin is blue-green tinted glass. Lee Krasner and Ronald Stein made a mosaic mural over the Broadway entrance, 12 feet (3.7 m) high and 86 feet (26 m) across.
