21 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Stepped, setback crown
The tower narrows in stages near the top, with small blocks and window rows on each level. Print friendly adapts the smallest steps to your scale; Full detail keeps them on large prints.
- Tall and slim among neighbors
It is a tall, narrow tower hemmed in by other buildings. Slow printing and cooling help the upper levels, and 0.12-0.16 mm layers keep the window rows crisp.
- One piece with the ground
20 East End Avenue is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 20 East End Avenue takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About 20 East End Avenue
20 East End Avenue is a condominium apartment tower in Yorkville, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It stands at the corner of 80th Street, close to Carl Schurz Park. Robert A.M. Stern Architects designed it in a New Classical style for the developer Edward Baquero (Corigin Real Estate Group). It holds 43 apartments, among them two duplex townhomes, a maisonette and two penthouses.
Building began in early 2015, and the tower topped out that November. The facade was finished by mid-2016, and residents moved in later that year. The design takes after pre-war buildings, including those built in the 1920s and 1930s, especially J.E.R. Carpenter's and Rosario Candela's work.
Features common to pre-war buildings appear here: a porte-cochère, setbacks, and a facade of brick and Indiana limestone. The building won the Stanford White Award for residential architecture in 2019. Amenities range from a gym and a library to a billiards room, a poker room, a private dining room and a spa.
