24 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Ornate base and crown
The carved columns, medallions and rooftop fencing are small details on a tall building. Full detail keeps them on larger prints, while Print friendly simplifies them at small sizes. A 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keeps the facade crisp.
- One piece with the ground
291 Broadway is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 291 Broadway takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About 291 Broadway
Also called the East River Savings Bank Building, 291 Broadway is a 19-story tower on the corner of Reade Street in the TriBeCa area of Lower Manhattan. The architecture firm Clinton and Russell designed it, and it dates from 1911. It first housed the East River Savings Bank.
From 1949 to 1980 the building served as the national headquarters of the YMCA, and it also held the YMCA Historical Library. The sale came in 1980, when the YMCA decided to move its National Council to Chicago. The design draws on Beaux-Arts styling and the Historism look, and the facade is light stone. Carved columns and medallions decorate the base, and stone fencing runs along the roof.
