About 4 World Trade Center

4 World Trade Center, or 150 Greenwich Street, is a skyscraper in Lower Manhattan, New York City, that belongs to the new World Trade Center. It is on Greenwich Street, at the site's southeastern corner. Its lot sits between Greenwich Street on the west and Church Street on the east, with Cortlandt Way on its north side and Liberty Street on its south side. Fumihiko Maki designed the 298 m (978 ft) tower, and the Port Authority's headquarters are inside it.

The current tower is the second building to carry this address at the site. The first was a nine-story office building completed in 1975, the work of Minoru Yamasaki and Emery Roth & Sons, and it was home to commodities exchanges. It was destroyed in 2001 during the September 11 attacks, together with the rest of the original World Trade Center. In February 2003 a competition for the new complex's master plan was won by Daniel Libeskind, and that plan included five towers, a memorial and a transportation hub.

Fumihiko Maki, a Japanese architect, was hired in May 2006 to design the tower, while Norman Foster was chosen for 2 World Trade Center and Richard Rogers for 3 World Trade Center. Groundbreaking for the current building was in January 2008. It opened on November 13, 2013, to both tenants and the public, and its space totals 210,000 m2 (2.3 million square feet).

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 80 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 100 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 128 mm 1:2,344

Slanted top on a tall slab
The tower is a tall block with an angled top and a lower block at its base. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the angled edge crisp, and a larger print holds more surface detail.
Slender towers nearby
Several very slender towers stand close by. Print friendly adapts thin parts like these to your print scale; slow printing and good cooling help tall thin parts.
One piece with the ground
4 World Trade Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 4 World Trade Center takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

4 World Trade Center is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a 4 World Trade Center STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. 4 World Trade Center grows with the print: about 80 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
