Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Glass dome roof

The faceted domed roof is a ribbed shape that sweeps over the building. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps its curves smooth, and a larger print keeps the ribs distinct.

  2. Fine facade detail

Keystones, balconies and arched openings are small relief details on the front. Full detail keeps them for large prints; Print friendly adapts them to smaller sizes.

  3. One piece with the ground

44 Union Square is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 44 Union Square takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About 44 Union Square

44 Union Square stands at 44 Union Square East in Manhattan, on the southeast corner where Union Square East (Park Avenue South) meets East 17th Street. It goes by other names too: 100 East 17th Street as well as the Tammany Hall Building. The architects were Charles B. Meyers and the firm Thompson, Holmes & Converse, and the neo-Georgian structure went up in 1928–1929. It is the oldest surviving headquarters building of the Tammany Society.

The society moved here from an earlier headquarters on nearby 14th Street. When the building was commissioned, the society stood at its peak of political popularity, and its members included Jimmy Walker (mayor), Al Smith (governor) and Robert F. Wagner (U.S. senator). Its influence faded in the 1930s, and in 1943 the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, through an affiliate, bought the building.

Its neo-Georgian features include Flemish bond brickwork, arched openings holding rectangular windows with stone keystones, and wrought-iron balconies. The facade is 150 feet (46 m) long on 17th Street and 79 feet (24 m) on Union Square East. The city designated it a landmark in 2013. A renovation between 2016 and 2020 preserved the facade, gutted the interior and added a glass domed roof in honor of Chief Tamanend, who gave the Tammany Society its name.
