20 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall building among skyscrapers
The building stands among much taller neighbors on narrow streets, so only part of it shows in the model. A larger print size and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm help keep its facade readable.
- One piece with the ground
65 Broadway is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 65 Broadway takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About 65 Broadway
Formerly the American Express Building, 65 Broadway is an office building on Broadway in Manhattan's Financial District, between Morris Street and Rector Street. It runs west through the entire block to Trinity Place. Its 21 stories use a concrete and steel frame, in a Neoclassical design by J. Lawrence Aspinwall, principal architect at the firm Renwick, Aspinwall & Tucker.
The most prominent feature is an H-shaped plan, with light courts between its wings. One light court opens east to Broadway; the other opens west to Trinity Place. The layout was meant to put as much interior space as possible beside a window, giving it enough light and air.
American Express had been on the site since 1874 and bought the lot in 1903. The building was constructed in 1916–1917 and served as the company's headquarters until 1974, also housing the offices of other firms. In 1995, New York City's Landmarks Preservation Commission named it an official landmark. It also counts among the contributing properties of the Wall Street Historic District, which was created in 2007 as a National Register district.
