Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Curved corner and arched windows

The curved corner and the rows of arched windows are fine, shallow detail. A larger print or Full detail keeps them readable, and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the edges crisp.

  2. Deep cornice overhang

A deep cornice projects along the roofline. Print friendly adapts overhanging details to the print scale, and printing slowly helps the overhang hold its shape.

  3. One piece with the ground

81 Willoughby Street is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 81 Willoughby Street takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About 81 Willoughby Street

81 Willoughby Street is a commercial building in Downtown Brooklyn, New York City. It went up between 1896 and 1898 as the headquarters of a regional telephone and telegraph company serving New York and New Jersey, later renamed the New York Telephone Company. The eight-story building occupies the northeastern corner where Willoughby and Lawrence Streets meet. Rudolphe L. Daus designed it in a mix of Beaux-Arts and Renaissance Revival styles.

Limestone clads most of the lower four stories, while brick and terracotta cover the upper four. Each street front is divided into three bays, and the two are highly similar. The main entrance is an ornamental arch on Willoughby Street. Other ornament includes an oculus window set in a curved corner and a deep cornice high on the building. A steel frame carries most of the structure, and a telephone exchange occupied the top floor.

May 1896 is when plans were filed; by early 1898 the company was in occupation. Its business grew so rapidly that some operations moved to another building in 1904. New York Telephone bought the building in 1929, and the company sold it in 1943. Since then it has housed offices, laboratories and educational institutions. In 2004 New York City's Landmarks Preservation Commission made it a city landmark.
