About 85 Sky Tower
85 Sky Tower, in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is a skyscraper with 85 stories. Earlier names were the T & C Tower and Tuntex Sky Tower. Its structure rises 347.5 m (1,140 ft), and with its antenna it reaches 378 m (1,240 ft). The Tuntex Group built it from 1994 to 1997. It is Kaohsiung's tallest building.
Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum and C.Y. Lee & Partners designed the tower with an unusual "prong" shape: two separate 39-floor sections join into a single central tower that rises to a spire. That leaves a large open space below the middle of the tower. Its shape draws on the Chinese character Gāo (高), meaning "tall", which appears in the city's Chinese name.
Because of tetraphobia, the building skips a 44th floor: the 43rd connects directly to the 45th. The pyramid-shaped crown equals three stories and is marketed as floors 83–85, to reach a round number. Elevators do not serve floors above 80.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 101 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 127 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 162 mm | 1:2,344 |

- A thin spire on a tall tower
- The antenna spire is the most fragile part of this tall model. Print slowly with good cooling, and use a bigger print size or 0.12–0.16 mm layers for a crisp tip.
- Open gap between the prongs
- The two lower sections leave an open space below the central tower. Print friendly keeps the thin legs sturdy; Full detail keeps every window line on a large print.
- One piece with the ground
- 85 Sky Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 85 Sky Tower takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
85 Sky Tower is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Common questions
Is there an 85 Sky Tower STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. 85 Sky Tower grows with the print: about 101 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
