7 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Narrow cast-iron front
The street front is tall and narrow, with rows of arched windows and fine iron detail. Print friendly adapts these details to the print scale; Full detail on a larger print keeps more of them.
- One piece with the ground
97 Bowery is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 97 Bowery takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About 97 Bowery
Between Hester and Grand Streets, 97 Bowery fronts the Bowery in Manhattan's Chinatown as a five-story loft building. Peter L.P. Tostevin designed it in the Italianate style, and it was built for John P. Jube & Co. in 1869, and that firm occupied it until 1935.
The facade is cast iron from the Cornell Iron Works, and its details were most likely picked from a catalog, which makes it typical of cast-iron building from the 1850s and 1860s. When it went up, the Bowery was the Lower East Side's main commercial street. The building survives as a rare cast-iron example in that area and a reminder of the Bowery's role as a commercial center in the years after the Civil War. The city's preservation commission designated it a landmark on September 14, 2010.
