  1. Columned, ornate roofline

The facade has rows of columns and a richly decorated cornice, which are the finest details of the model. Choose Full detail for a larger print, or keep Print friendly and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm at small sizes.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House

Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House, first known as the New York Custom House, stands at 1 Bowling Green, close to Manhattan's southern tip. It is a government building and museum that was formerly the custom house. Cass Gilbert designed it in the Beaux-Arts style, and the US government put it up between 1902 and 1907 to serve as the headquarters for collecting duties at the Port of New York. Since 1990 the name has commemorated Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the treasury.

Behind a stone facade, the building has seven stories on a steel frame. Twelve artists contributed nautical motifs and sculptures to the exterior, and colonnades of Corinthian columns run across the second through fourth stories. The main entrance is a grand staircase flanked by four statues by Daniel Chester French called Four Continents. A skylight crowns the rotunda, with ceiling murals by Reginald Marsh added in 1938.

The trapezoidal plot is bounded by Bowling Green, Whitehall Street, Bridge Street and State Street. It sits on the site of Fort Amsterdam, built by the Dutch West India Company; the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam grew up around that fort. The George Gustav Heye Center, which belongs to the national museum devoted to American Indians, opened in 1994. City landmark status covers the facade plus part of the interior, and the building is a National Historic Landmark.
